LIVE music battle radio show @Echoes, Bucharest!

So this crazy thing happened at Echoes on Thursday August 27th: Vinyl vs Digital featuring Marinov vs Petru Stratulat. We streamed it live on Lounge Avenue and the website in audio and video format. It was our very first broadcast outside the studio and we had some technical difficulties, especially at the start and end of the stream.

We learned a lot from this steep learning curve, so we are expanding the Vinyl vs Digital concept into a recurring live show from Echoes with Petru Stratulat and Marinov. This time we will also include English talk segments because we are setting up a dedicated studio at Echoes just for this occasion.

Here is exactly what will happen:

• The show will take place in the evening. We have not set a specific day yet, but it will likely be on Wednesday between 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM (work in progress).
• You can tune in to the radio, or join us directly at the venue to hang out. Keep in mind that at the venue you will only hear the music, not the hosts talking.
• Alternatively, you can watch us on lounge-avenue.com where we will have a multicam audio and video stream.

Briefly, some info about the hosts:

Marinov

In the fast-paced digital age, Alexandru Marinov remains a record selector rooted in vinyl sound quality and the art of music curation. Drawing on an extensive background as a curator (Zonga, Mediaforest) and broadcaster (Radio Tănănana, Radio Republika Verde, founder of Aprozar Radio – aprozar.org), he brings a refined, eclectic selection to his sets. His sound has defined residencies at Have a Cigar, Coppers Pub, Groove & Portocale, Misbits, and Art-An-Te, and currently continues at Echoes. From major stages like Electric Castle, One Love, and Amural Festival, to long nights at clubs like Control, Expirat, and Molotov Vama Veche, or brand events for Porsche and Indian Motorcycle, his vinyl selections always build a deep connection with the crowd.

Petru Stratulat

Petru Stratulat is a broadcaster, voiceover artist, actor and media founder with 20 years in the Romanian audio industry. His musical identity is heavily tied to downtempo, trip hop, chillout and nu jazz, a vibe he cultivated for seven years hosting GuerriNight on Radio Guerrilla across 401 shows. He also worked at Europa FM for almost two years. Besides hosting, Petru has been the official station voice for Kanal D2 for nearly three years and worked as a radio trainer at Dictie.ro for 7 years. His creativity goes beyond the mic: he has 12 years of experience as an actor and puppeteer with Lightwave Theatre Company with whom he experienced America’s Got Talent and other internationally huge TV stages. Starting February 10th 2026, Petru pours his musical vision into the fully independent online radio station Lounge Avenue.

Permanent Guest: Mihai Velcescu

Mihai Velcescu is an artist and cultural entrepreneur actively shaping the alternative and independent scene in Bucharest. Musically, he is known as a member of Zammorian, an immersive and synesthetic project blending post rock and psychedelic elements with strong visual aesthetics. Off stage, Mihai is the creative force and founder of Echoes Haus, a cultural space and essential hub for the local art community. Under his guidance, Echoes became much more than a venue, evolving into a dedicated platform for niche music, visual arts and underground initiatives.

About the venue: Echoes.Haus

Located at 11 Dianei Street in Bucharest, Echoes.Haus is a cultural space and an essential hub for the city’s independent and alternative art community. Shaped by its founder, Mihai Velcescu, the venue is much more than just a regular bar. It acts as an immersive platform for niche music, visual arts, and underground initiatives. Geared towards long nights and cultural events (open Tuesday to Friday from 6 PM to 1 AM, and from 1 PM on weekends), Echoes.Haus offers an intimate atmosphere, highly appreciated for its clean and relaxed vibe. It is the perfect spot for experimental music projects to come alive, recently becoming ground zero for Lounge Avenue’s hybrid live radio broadcasts.
