Good Boy, a horror heartbreaking story

Good Boy is a seriously creepy psychological thriller that starts off like a completely normal romance. A young woman goes on a date with a handsome and wealthy guy, and everything seems to be going perfectly well until she visits his huge isolated mansion. That is when she discovers his extremely bizarre secret, as he lives with a grown man who dresses and constantly acts like a pet dog. Instead of running away immediately, she tries to be open minded and accept his strange lifestyle, which slowly pulls her into a very uncomfortable and tense situation.

The movie does an amazing job of building a quiet, deeply unsettling atmosphere that really gets under your skin. You spend the whole time wondering what is actually going on and if the main character is in real danger or just dealing with a very weird dynamic. It is a slow burn experience that plays heavily on personal boundaries, power dynamics, and the crazy things people will ignore for a chance at a perfect relationship. If you are into weird, suspenseful indie movies that leave you feeling totally stressed out, this one is an absolute must watch.
